The basic organic structure of every form of plant life is the main theme of the central exhibition areas of the Federal Garden Exhibiton 2005, commonly referred to as BUGA. The "Animal Sent Garden" was based on the fairy-tale figure Tom Thumb. Supersized animal tracks was casted in epoxy glued sand were placed in daily groomed sandy ground of a lush Rhododendron jungle. Visitors could smell animal sents and compare matching 10-times supersized animal tracks with there own footprint.
The complex forms of the molds was designed with AutoCAd and 3DSMax, exported as STL-file and the than produced on 5-axis wood milling machine as detailing the design in drawings was not an option.
